Reaching People Across the World
At James River Church, our #1 core value is to reach the lost. Planting new churches and investing in missions is an amazing way to reach people and help them meet Jesus! In 2025, as part of our missions giving, we are excited to announce plans to launch 31 new churches in the United States, Austria, India, and Spain! Along with that, we will be working with pastors to reopen 75 churches in Rwanda that had been closed due to government regulations.
21 United States Church Plants
In 2025, James River Church is partnering with the Association of Related Churches to plant 21 new churches across the United States. Additionally, we are partnering with Pastor Manny Arango’s church plant, The Garden, in Houston, Texas. We can’t wait to hear all of the amazing stories of God’s faithfulness through these church plants this year!
Global Projects
We will be working with pastors to reopen 75 churches in Rwanda that had been closed due to government regulations. As well, we will be adopting a major project in Southern Asia, helping to complete the translating of the New Testament into 10 languages, for people groups that have never before had access to the Bible in their language.

Description
James River Church will be headed to Bosnia and Herzegovina to partner with AGWM missionaries Curtis and Sarah Hobbs. Curt and Sarah host the Valley of Blessing Kids Camp that the Lord is using to change students who come to the camp. We will have the opportunity to host the camp with exciting games and activities along with powerful services.

James River Church will be partnering with the James Project in Guatemala. The James Project is an organization designed to serve and minister to neglected children and widows inspired from James 1:27. We will be working alongside the Shadow of His Wing’s Children’s Home, a program stemming from the James Project, to serve children through various activities, games, Bible lessons, and so much more.

We will be partnering with Convoy of Hope and Many Hands to serve alongside local Bahamians and Haitians. Together, we will be working to meet the immediate physical needs of the local community, specifically serving low-income residents of Abaco Island. This will include construction, serving local churches, as well as other ministry opportunities.

Rockaway Beach
September 6-13, 2025

Description
In partnership with Convoy of Hope Field Teams. We are honored to partner with a growing local church (Bridge of Faith), whose pastor is fighting for the soul of his community. Field Teams work with him and his congregation in transforming this former resort town — filled with deep poverty, methamphetamine use, and broken families — into one where citizens flourish and understand their true identity. The church purchased an abandoned resort and is working to renovate buildings into local businesses that provide new jobs and opportunities. We will assist the church with renovating the site, engaging local citizens through church programs, and assisting with the church-run thrift store.
Note: Although the Rockaway Beach mission trip is close to Springfield, our team will be staying in on-site housing at the mission location.

We will be serving AGWM missionaries John and Daralena Bean in the rural villages of eastern Slovakia. Our team will serve the local Roma people in a variety of ways, including light construction, children’s ministry, compassion ministry, and evangelism!

Belize Men’s Trip

We will be serving AGWM Missionaries Terry and Babs Castleberry of Belize City, Belize, on our Men’s Construction Trip.
Terry and Babs run a kids and youth camp just outside Belize City. Our team will be doing various construction projects around the campground, preparing it for the upcoming camp season.

We are partnering with a global worker family to help them fulfil the mission of God on seeing a church encouraged, empowered, and equipped to take the Gospel to the dark regions of Egypt and beyond. Alaska

Description
Join us as we serve during the annual Iditarod dog sled race! We’ll help with a variety of tasks—setting up fencing, assisting with dog handling, cooking, team registration, and more—all while openly sharing the love and message of Christ.
After the race, we’ll continue serving the community alongside local churches through homeless outreach, volunteering at the Hope Center and food banks, and helping with maintenance projects where needed.
This trip is open to ages 18+.

We will be serving AGWM missionaries Chris and Julie Abiuso in Guadalajara, Mexico. We will show the love of Christ to local children by doing a Vacation Bible School, serving at local orphanages, and doing kids outreaches in local parks! We will also minister to adults in local rehab centers!
