Philippians 4:6-8
PHILIPPIANS 4:6 (NLT)
Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

Be anxious for nothing...
The word for anxious (merimnao) is two words in Greek.
Merizo: to divide; Nous: the mind. Therefore, to be anxious is to have a divided mind.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition,
"Petition" is the specific request you have.

And Paul gives us a list:
1. True -True as opposed to false
2. Noble -Worthy of respect...awe...adoration.
3. Just -Consistent with God’s standard...
4. Pure -Morally clean...the undefiled
5. Lovely -The gracious, good
6. Good report -Highly thought of...esteemed
7. If there is any virtue -Its got high character quality//moral excellence
8. If there is anything praiseworthy - Its laudable...its applaudable.

if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things.
COLOSSIANS 3:1-2 (NIV)
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
