1 Chronicles 22:7–10 (NIV)
“My son, I had it in my heart to build a house for the Name of the Lord my God. But this word of the Lord came to me: ‘You have shed much blood and have fought many wars. You are not to build a house for my Name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight. But you will have a son who will be a man of peace and rest, and I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side. His name will be Solomon, and I will grant Israel peace and quiet during his reign. He is the one who will build a house for my Name.’”

Main Idea
God loves His Church and cares deeply for it. Followers of Christ love the things God loves and are called to build His Church!
We see in the life of David that he passionately followed God and sacrificially gave to see God’s house built. God is calling His people to do the same—and when His people build His house, there is a blessing He desires to pour out!
1. We Take Initiative to Build God’s House by Serving
A heart for God’s house doesn’t sit still—it starts serving.
How do we overcome the excuses that hold us back from serving? What led you to start serving on a Dream Team?
2. We Invest Generously in God’s House
When I build God’s house, God builds my life.
How does our mindset shift from giving out of obligation to giving with a heart of gratitude?
3. We Use Our Influence to Build God’s House
People can sense when you’re real; they can feel when faith is genuine. There’s something powerful about a person whose example matches their words.
