How to Walk in Wisdom

Make coffee. Check. Feed the dog. Check. Finish the dishes. Check. Although you may not be looking to add another “thing” to your plate, getting wisdom is an essential item for you to put on your to-do list this year. Unfortunately, getting wisdom is not as simple as picking it up at the grocery store on your way home from work. So, how do you “get wisdom”? Here are just a few ways you can make getting wisdom an attainable priority every single day.

Why You Should Talk to God More in the New Year

The beginning of the year is a great time to reflect on the previous year and set goals to achieve needs and desires in the new year. So, what do you hope to achieve this year? Whatever you need this year, whether it’s strength, courage, peace, or healing, you need the hand of God on your life to make it possible. If you want this year to be a year of seeing God do more in your life than ever before, prayer is the answer. Read what the Bible teaches about the importance of prayer and discover one of the best ways to help you cultivate a powerful prayer life.

God’s Answer to Fear and Anxiety

Whether it was the day you first learned to ride a bike or the time you had to prepare for an important job interview, it is likely you have experienced moments of fear and anxiety in your life at some point. According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, the most common mental illness in the U.S. are anxiety disorders, affecting nearly one in five adults every year. So, if fear and anxiety are such big issues in our world, what is God’s answer and how can we overcome them?

How to Find Meaning and Satisfaction in Your Work

Work has a tremendous impact on us internally. And that’s true whether you are unemployed or currently finding great satisfaction in your work. Every person has an innate desire to find meaning in their work. In fact, a Harvard Business Review surveyed 12,000 employees from a broad range of companies finding that 50% lack a level of meaning and significance at work. Moreover, the single highest impact on people sticking with organizations came down to employees finding meaning and satisfaction in their work. Those who find meaning in their work report 1.7 times higher job satisfaction and are 1.4 times more engaged in their work. Those statistics necessitate the question of how we discover and experience satisfaction and meaning in our work. What does the Bible tell us about work and how can we find real meaning through activities that will consume much of our adult life?

Win the Morning; Win the Day: Preparing to Lead Every Day!

Leaders lead. This is a true statement about leadership that transcends time, place, and position. Leaders will lead in every situation, whether they know it or not. Through their actions, their words, their facial expressions, and even their body language, they are consciously and unconsciously showing everyone around them how they should follow. But, how can you tell if you’re a leader? And how can you lead well every day?

Trust the Process

There are times when God puts things in our hearts (dreams, aspirations, goals) and He gives them to us right away. There are other times (this seems to be the majority) when God puts things in our hearts and then makes us wait. Often, we can wonder what God is doing. We can begin to ask, “Did I really hear from God?” Or perhaps the biggest question, “God, what is taking you so long?” I have found that during that time of waiting, God is preparing us for the promise. During our waiting, He is teaching us things. He is growing our character, our faith, and our ability to do what we feel called to do. God is taking us through a process. The question is, “Will you trust the process?”

You Can Know Jesus

I want you to know, long before this day, I have been praying for the moment when you would be reading these words. I truly believe, that what you are about to read is the most valuable and important message you could ever hear. And, no matter where you are, reading these words in your car, at work, at school, at the park, alone or surrounded by activity–if you listen, you will hear these words being whispered to your soul. “Precious Daughter, I am the answer for all you have been longing for… I am absolutely everything you need!”

Does God Want Me to Be Happy?

Have you ever thought to yourself, I wish I loved life as much as that person? Why is it that some people can smile at the future even when it seems uncertain? What causes someone to see purpose in the mundane tasks of life? What enables a person to laugh even though they might be walking through a challenging season? Most people, if they were honest, would say that one of their greatest desire is to have joy. But, unfortunately, many people find this goal much more difficult to achieve than they imagined. Read this blog to find out how you can have joy.
