Reaching People Across the World
At James River Church, our #1 core value is to reach the lost. Planting new churches and investing in missions is an amazing way to reach people and help them meet Jesus! In 2025, as part of our missions giving, we are excited to announce plans to launch 31 new churches in the United States, Austria, India, and Spain! Along with that, we will be working with pastors to reopen 75 churches in Rwanda that had been closed due to government regulations.
21 United States Church Plants
In 2025, James River Church is partnering with the Association of Related Churches to plant 21 new churches across the United States. Additionally, we are partnering with Pastor Manny Arango’s church plant, The Garden, in Houston, Texas. We can’t wait to hear all of the amazing stories of God’s faithfulness through these church plants this year!
Global Projects
We will be working with pastors to reopen 75 churches in Rwanda that had been closed due to government regulations. As well, we will be adopting a major project in Southern Asia, helping to complete the translating of the New Testament into 10 languages, for people groups that have never before had access to the Bible in their language.

James River Church will be partnering with OneChild in San Fernando Cebu, Philippines.  OneChild operates through Hope Centers all around the world, with one located in San Fernando Cebu! Hope Centers host a development program for children that offers meals, education, and teaches children the truth about God’s love. This trip will offer team members the opportunity to minister medically through these Hope Centers. Even those without medical experience are welcome to help host children and assist in organizing clinic days.

We will be partnering with Nathan and Christine Alfaro, missionaries to Managua, Nicaragua. We will be helping local believers with street evangelism, prayer and service ministry, outdoor church services, and more!

We’ll be serving at International Church Bogor, a Kingdom Builders project from 2023, through teaching, kids and youth ministry, and community outreach. We’ll also have the privilege of ministering to 40 missionaries and their children at their annual gathering, assisting with the kids’ program and encouraging those on the front lines of missions.

James River Church will be headed to Bosnia and Herzegovina to partner with AGWM missionaries Curtis and Sarah Hobbs. Curt and Sarah host the Valley of Blessing Kids Camp that the Lord is using to change students who come to the camp. The James Project is an organization designed to serve and minister to neglected children and widows inspired from James 1:27. We will be partnering with Convoy of Hope and Many Hands to serve alongside local Bahamians and Haitians. Together, we will be working to meet the immediate physical needs of the local community, specifically serving low-income residents of Abaco Island. This will include construction, serving local churches, as well as other ministry opportunities.

Rockaway Beach
September 6-13, 2025

Description
In partnership with Convoy of Hope Field Teams. We are honored to partner with a growing local church (Bridge of Faith), whose pastor is fighting for the soul of his community. Field Teams work with him and his congregation in transforming this former resort town — filled with deep poverty, methamphetamine use, and broken families — into one where citizens flourish and understand their true identity. The church purchased an abandoned resort and is working to renovate buildings into local businesses that provide new jobs and opportunities. We will assist the church with renovating the site, engaging local citizens through church programs, and assisting with the church-run thrift store.
Note: Although the Rockaway Beach mission trip is close to Springfield, our team will be staying in on-site housing at the mission location.

Czech Republic
November 7-15, 2025

Description
We are partnering with Builders International to serve AGWM pastors Adam and Victoria Huantovi with construction projects! We will be helping to renovate a 24,218 sq. ft. former cinema and cultural center. This place of hope will be the future home of the Huantovi’s church and coffee house! The building will then become one of the first Christian preschools/elementary schools in the region! This construction ministry will spend a significant amount of time doing finishing work on the interior of the building, making it a comfortable place for the people to worship and learn.
