Hebrews 11:17–22
Faith pre-decides the decisions that shape your life.

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac… By faith Isaac invoked future blessings on Jacob and Esau. By faith Jacob, when dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph… By faith Joseph, at the end of his life, made mention of the exodus… and gave directions concerning his bones.

1. Faith Has Decided to Obey God

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac… He considered that God was able even to raise him from the dead…
3 marks of obedient faith
* Informed — I know who God is and remember His track record.
* Intentional — I seek His will, not wander into it.
* Immediate — Delayed obedience becomes disobedience.
Every time I trust myself over God, I lost. Every time I trust God over myself, I won.
2. Faith Has Decided To See Life Spiritually
Hebrews 11:20 (ESV)
By faith Isaac invoked future blessings on Jacob and Esau.
Faith sees what you can’t physically see.
3. Faith Has Decided To Live for Eternal Impact
Hebrews 11:21 (ESV)
By faith Jacob, when dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, bowing in worship over the head of his staff.
I don't just live my life for me, I live for an impact way beyond me.

A good person leaves an inheritance to their children’s children.
4. Faith Has Decided God is Faithful
Hebrews 11:22 (ESV)
By faith Joseph, at the end of his life, made mention of the exodus of the Israelites and gave directions concerning his bones.
Faith says: God said it - He will do it.
