Isaiah 55 Devotional

Isaiah 55:8-9 ESV
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55:9 ESV
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

1. God wants to be supernaturally gracious to you.

Isaiah 55:7 ESV
let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

2. God sees supernatural possibilities.

Isaiah 55:13 ESV
Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress; instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle; and it shall make a name for the Lord, an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”

3. God receives supernatural praise.

Psalm 100:1-2, 4 NLT
Shout with joy to the LORD, all the earth! Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy… Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name.
