How to Live More Blessed

David Lindell

Scripture

Acts 20:35:
“And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Isaiah 32:8:
“But generous people plan to do what is generous, and they stand firm in their generosity.”

Main Idea

The world teaches that happiness comes from getting more, but God’s Word tells us the truth — real blessing comes from giving. When we give, we align our hearts with God’s character, the greatest giver of all. Generosity draws us closer to Him and fills our lives with lasting joy as we build our lives on generosity. True fulfillment is found in living according to God’s truth: it is more blessed to give than to receive.

1. Generosity is a Blessed Person’s Identity

Generosity is about who you are, not about how much you have. Generosity always flows from character, not convenience.

How do we begin to live from a place of generosity rather than just add it to this list of things that we do? How does that transformation happen?

2. Generosity is a Blessed Person’s Strategy

Generous people are not reactive they are proactive.

When we plan to be generous how does this prepare us to bless those that God brings into our path?

3. Generosity is a Blessed Person’s Priority

When generosity is the ground you stand on, that priority creates a platform for your life of stability, satisfaction, and God’s supply

When generosity is a priority how does God use that to bring stability to every area of our life?

Call To Action

Reflect:

When you look at your life, is generosity at the core of who you are, or is it something you only occasionally remember?

Respond:

What is one practical step you can take this week to begin living a generous life?

Remember:

Your heart flourishes where your treasure goes. When we trust God with our finances, it becomes easier to trust Him with every part of our life.
