Making a Kingdom Impact – Kingdom Impact Week 1

Scripture

Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Main Idea

Kingdom Impact begins with strengthening our local church, James River, so that we can effectively reach our community, nation, and the ends of the earth. God is using the church to transform lives through outreach, camps, service projects, planting churches, and supporting missionaries. When we participate in what God is doing, we see lives changed, souls saved, and His Kingdom advanced.

1. Kingdom Impact Starts in Jerusalem

The key to reaching the ends of the earth is a strong church!

What does building a strong James River Church look like for you personally, and for us as a whole church?

2. Kingdom Impact Expands to Judea and Samaria

The average established church will see one salvation for every five people that attend, while a new church plant will see one salvation for every two people who attend; that is a 300% increase in salvations!

If church planting is the biblical model God used to reach the world in the book of Acts, what does that reveal about the effectiveness of a new church in our nation?

3. Kingdom Impact Reaches the Ends of the Earth

We can believe God to make us a channel of His infinite supply, flowing through us to reach people who have never heard the message of Jesus.

If God uses provision to channel His work to the ends of the earth, what does that teach us about the importance of first strengthening our local church as the foundation for Kingdom Impact?
