Keep on Praying!
Luke 18:2 NIV
He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men.
Luke 18:4b NIV
he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care about men
Luke 18:1 NIV
Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.
1st Prayer & Frequency
Luke 18:2-4a NIV
He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ For some time he refused.
Luke 18:4b-5 NIV
but finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually wear me out with her coming!'”
And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says.”
2nd Prayer and Fervency
Luke 18:7a NIV
And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night?
Give attention to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to you do I pray.
Oh my God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, and am not silent.
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.
In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was
able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.
3rd Prayer and Faithfulness
Luke 18:6-8 NIV
And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
