Who My Help Comes From

Psalm 121:1 ESV
I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?

Psalm 121:2 ESV
My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

1. God’s Creative Power is in Front of Me

2. God’s Eyes are on Me

Psalm 121:3–4 ESV
He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

Psalm 34:15 NIV
The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry

Psalm 121:3–4 MSG
He won’t let you stumble, your Guardian God won’t fall asleep. Not on your life! Israel’s Guardian will never doze or sleep.

3. God’s Presence is with Me

Psalm 121:5–6 ESV
The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.

4. God’s Care Surrounds Me

Psalm 121:7–8 ESV
The LORD will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.
